Well, we've made it to the appointments every 2 weeks mark. Technically, it started at week 27, but they wanted to see me at 30 weeks, so I could be more of a 30, 32, 34, etc weeker. I am now on track. Everything is looking, sounding and growing good. My Dr. did mention that he wanted me to cut back on the sweets and carbs. I will try my best, but it's hard when that's what Owen is wanting.
We're getting close and I am trying to stay calm with everything. I feel like there is so much to do and get ready for before the big day and the big day is going to be here so fast. Too bad we have no idea when it will be. In my head i know we have time, but he could, realistically, be here any day! As excited as I am, I want the house, his room and our lives all in order. I have books to finish reading, bags to pack, a nursery to put together and decorate, a house to clean, a job that needs to be all settled up, taken care of and ready to be taken over and covered while I am gone... etc. So much to do, so little time. I also need to find my little man an outfit to come home in, i need a dress (or 2) for our baby shower this weekend, my hostess gifts need to be completed... I think I might be stressing out. Ugh - I need some chocolate!
Here's the 30 week bump, growing BIG!

3D Ultrasound
We just got back from our Dr. and we got a clean bill of health for our little man. We are 30 weeks along and Mommy is feeling good. Luckily, there's been no discomfort, but I'm sure that will be right around the corner.
We got to see Owen in 3D today and it was amazing! I have to say... We do have the cutest baby in the world! He's in the breech position, but the Dr. said that it is still early and he has plenty of time to flip. He is weighing in at a whopping 3lbs. 1 oz. I can't believe that he's gained almost 2 lbs. in 1 month. We got to see that he has a little bit of peach fuzz on his head (yay!) and he even gave us a big yawn. It was adorable! Unfortunately, it was hard for them to get great shots, since his face was right in my uterus, but I guess that's normal for the stubborn little man that we have.
They checked my fibroid and it's still dormant. The measurements seem to be the same, which is great news. We have another appointment in 4 weeks, so we'll get another sneak peek!

29 Weeks
We are getting so close! I can't believe how fast time is going by. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was thinking to myself that it was going to be forever until I got to this point. We're getting close to the single digit week countdown. Here is me and my growing little man...

This is without the sweater, you can see the bump a little better.

Passed!
We had my glucose test on Monday. I had to drink a super sugary drink and get my blood tested an hour later. This test was testing me for gestational diabetes. I was super nervous and convincing myself that I had given myself diabetes. I can't help it when most of my cravings are sugary treats. What baby wants, baby gets. Haha! So, I was nervous, to say the least.
I had to drink this orange drink that they had given me at my last appointment. I had been hearing horror stories about the taste, but it wasn't bad. It just tasted like really sugary orange Gatorade. The aftertaste was the worst part. It was like a coating on our throat... You know, the one you get after drinking too many margaritas and the sweetness from the sour mix just sits there? That's what it felt like.
I drank my drink, got called back, they weighed me (ugh! - those numbers are still rising) and took my blood pressure. Everything is measuring right on track. The Dr. we saw was very friendly and answered all of my questions. We listened to Owen's heartbeat and i had the Dr. tell me where he thought our little man was sitting. He felt around on my belly and pushed some areas and said that he felt like he was head down. I'm not sure how much I believe it, but I'm not the professional. I'm convinced that he's laying sideways. We'll see in a couple weeks, when we get our 3D ultrasound with the Perinatologist.
After meeting with the Dr., I went and got blood drawn. They took 2 vials to send away and told me that they'd be in touch. I was nervous for the next 24 hours. They actually emailed me that following morning. I PASSED!!! My glucose was normal and I had a low risk of developing gestational diabetes. Phew, what a relief!!! I celebrated with a Snickers for breakfast and it was delicious!
